1. PRO-RUSSIANS STORM UKRAINE POLICE STATION
Pro-Russian groups in eastern Ukraine have stormed a police station in the town of Horlivka near Donetsk, defying a deadline from Kiev to leave government buildings. The Ukrainian government has pledged to take action against the "terrorists". The UN security council last night held an emergency session to discuss the crisis.

2. LONDON MARATHON: RUNNER GOES MISSING
An elite runner in the London Marathon, Mami Konneh Lahun, who came 20th, has gone missing. She is due to fly home to Sierra Leone later today but did not return to her accommodation in Greenwich, where she has been staying since 7 April, after the race. A male runner of 42 collapsed on the finish line and died.

3. MH370: ROBOT SUB TO BE USED FOR FIRST TIME
The search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 goes underwater for the first time today as a robotic submarine is deployed from an Australian search ship. There are fears the black box flight recorder’s battery may have run out as the ‘ping’ signal located previously has not been heard again since 8 April.

4. GLAXO ‘BRIBED DOCTORS IN POLAND’
British drug firm GlaxoSmithKline is facing a criminal investigation in Poland for paying doctors to promote its asthma drug Seretide, according to the BBC. If the allegations are true, Glaxo may also face action in the UK as it could have violated the UK Bribery Act. Glaxo said it had disciplined an employee.
5. SCORES DEAD IN NIGERIA BOMB ATTACKS
Two bombs at a crowded bus station in the Nigerian capital Abuja have killed more than 70 people. The blasts at the Nyanya Motor Park during the morning rush hour destroyed more than 30 vehicles and left well over 100 people injured. So far there have been 71 confirmed fatalities. Militant Islamist group Boko Haram is believed to be behind the attack.
6. TEARFUL PISTORIUS 'TRYING TO BE EMOTIONAL'
Oscar Pistorius, on trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, has been accused of using his emotions "as an escape" while being cross examined. Pistorius broke down in tears four times on Monday, but prosecutor Gerrie Nel said he was "trying to be emotional and it's not working".

7. US: WOMAN CHARGED WITH KILLING SIX BABIES
A Utah woman, Megan Huntsman, 39, has been charged with killing six of her own babies between 1996 and 2006 after their bodies were found in cardboard boxes at her house. Police said they believe her husband, now estranged, knew nothing of the situation. He called them after finding a body in the garage.
8. COULSON GIVES EVIDENCE IN HACK TRIAL
Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson has begun giving evidence at the phone-hacking trial at the Old Bailey. Coulson, who also worked as director of communications at Downing Street, denies conspiracy to hack phones and conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office. He told the court he had not spoken to Prime Minister David Cameron since 2011.
9. GOLF: BUBBA WATSON WINS US MASTERS
Left-hander Bubba Watson has taken his second green jacket in three years, holding back Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt to win the 78th US Masters at Augusta. His closest rival was first-timer Spieth, who at just 20 years old was hoping to beat Tiger Woods’s record to become the youngest ever winner.
10. HOT TICKET: ROYAL DRAMA AT ALMEIDA
A new comedy drama about the future of the monarchy, King Charles III, has opened at the Almeida Theatre, London. Mike Bartlett's play imagines the difficult early days of Prince Charles's reign when he finally becomes king. Stars Tim Pigott-Smith. "Unstoppably entertaining," says The Times. Until 31 May.
