US Masters 2014: the best shots of the tournament

Opening RoundSang Moon Bae, 15th Hole (Par 5), 3rd Shot: The South Korean showed off his razor-sharp short game at the par five 15th, judging line and pace to perfection to hole-out for eagle from off the green with a wedge.

Phil Mickleson, 10th Hole (Par 4), 3rd Shot: The leftie carded an opening round 76 (+4) this year, which included an uncharacteristic triple bogey at the par four seventh. The only highlight for the world number eight was sweeping birdie putt at the undulating tenth.

Jonas Blixt, 13th Hole (Par 5), 2nd Shot: Out of a 97-man-field, Blixt was the only player to break par (72) in all four rounds and central to his performance was a towering long game which the Swede demonstrated to devastating effect at the par five 13th.

Second RoundJordan Speith, 15th Hole (Par 5), 2nd Shot: Despite Speith's best efforts Fuzzy Zoeller still remains the last debutant to win at Augusta 35 years ago. But Speith put down an early marker on Friday with a pin-point approach at the par five 15th, the reigning PGA rookie of the year went on to convert the eagle opportunity and pick up two shots.

Adam Scott, 12th Hole (Par 3) Tee Shot: Defending champion, Scott, shot an opening round 69 (-3), and although the Aussie faded from contention as the tournament progressed, his second round tee shot at the par three 12th was still one of the best on show all week.

Bubba Watson, 12th Hole (Par 3) Tee Shot: On route to securing his second Green Jacket in three years, Watson caught fire on the back nine of his second round. A run of five consecutive birdies got under way at the par three 12th with a soaring short iron approach that pitched inches from the hole.

Third RoundMatt Kuchar, 15th Hole (Par 5), 3rd Shot: World number six Kuchar was much-fancied going into this year's Masters, and day three saw the Georgia Tech graduate convert an impressive up and down at the 15th for birdie. A devilishly tricky chip was expertly negotiated by Kuchar, who went on to card a stunning third round 68.

Watson, 2nd Hole (Par 5), 2nd Shot: Watson crushed the ball off the tee all week, and in the third round the Floridian's devastating length yielded two strokes at the par five second. A huge drive, followed by an accurate mid-iron, gave the left-hander an eagle opportunity he gladly converted.

Final Round Kuchar, 3rd Hole (Par 4), 3rd Shot: Despite carding a disappointing 74 (+2) Kuchar demonstrated a sublime touch around the greens throughout his final round. The 1997 Amateur champion tied for the early lead on six under after chipping in for birdie on the third hole.

Speith, 4th Hole (Par 3) 2nd Shot: Arguably the shot of the tournament, 20-year-old Speith walked away with a miraculous birdie on the par three fourth after rescuing an errant tee shot from the sand. Speith has jumped to number nine in the world on the back of his Masters performance, and will surely be a contender at majors for years to come.
