Italian champions Juventus haven't given up their pursuit of midfielder Emre Can, says Talksport, despite the fact that the Reds have slapped a huge asking price on the midfielder.

Having bought the German international from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 for a modest £9.75m, it's believed the Reds are are demanding no less than £26m for his services in the hope of warding off suitors.

But Talksport says that Juventus are still circling and money won't be a problem with the Italian champions looking to sell Chelsea Alex Sandro for a cool £60m.

Can is believed to have recently been "offered a new bumper £100,000 per-week deal to stay at Anfield", but he is yet to agree terms and rumours suggest he's sorely tempted by the thought of joining last season's Champions League runners-up.

This has led to question marks over his future and Juve are keen to take advantage of the situation.

Italian rag Gazzetta dello Sport says that Juve will "continue their pursuit of Can despite the Reds' high demands" and with the player currently on holiday after helping Germany win the Confederations Cup the situation won't be resolved for a little while longer.

Meanwhile the official Liverpool website has confirmed the arrival of Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.

"It feels amazing and everyone has made me feel welcome already," said the 19-year-old striker, who scored four goals in England U-20s' triumphant World Cup campaign last month.

According to ESPN Liverpool "will have to pay Chelsea a compensation fee for their part in the player's development", believed to be in the region of £2m to £3m, which will be decided by a Premier League tribunal at a later date.
