Man City strike first with club-record bid for Aubameyang
Dortmund forward has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs but Guardiola is the only manager to make an offer
He's been linked with most of the Premier League's finest, but according to Sky Sports Man City are about to become the first English club to table an official bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon goal machine scored 42 goals for Borussia Dortmund last season, attracting alleged interest from the two Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal and several other European outfits.
Paris Saint-Germain were believed to be in pole position to sign the 28-year old Borussia Dortmund striker but the deal fell through after PSG decided they didn't want to meet his £60m asking price. City have no qualms about that, says Sky Sports, and it's believed that Pep Guardiola will make his bid - which will be a club record - in the coming days.

Meanwhile The Sun says that City are going to battle Manchester United for the right to sign Nelson Semedo. Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have both scouted the Benfica right-back in recent months and the pair are keen to sign him this summer.
The Portuguese club have already scared off Barcelona with their £48m evaluation, but the Sun says that United and City will try and haggle Benfica down to around £35m in the coming weeks.
But what's this in the Daily Express? It claims that City and United are indeed at loggerheads over a Benfica player - but it's not Semedo. Rather it's midfielder Anderson Talisca, who spent last season on loan with Besiktas where he scored 17 goals in all competitions for the Turkish side. The 23-year-old was linked to United last week but according to Turkish paper Fanatik the Red Devils "will face competition for his signature" from the Sky Blues.
Finally, The Guardian says that Dani Alves has told Juventus he wants out and that's fuelled speculation he is edging towards a move to the Etihad. There were reports over the weekend that the veteran defender was keen to reunite with his former Barcelona boss, Pep Guardiola, and apparently Alves and his agent informed the Italian champions on Monday that the time had come for a new challenge.
According to the Guardian "discussions are also planned with Chelsea but Alves's preference is to move to the Etihad" with the Turin club demanding £5m.
