Manchester City’s summer spending spree seems set to continue with a move for Brazil defender Danilo, despite their recent capture of Kyle Walker from Spurs.

The Daily Mail reports that should a deal go through, City will have spent £80m on right-backs alone this summer.

Real Madrid will want around £26m for the Brazil international who will face competition from Walker for his place in the side. City splashed out a massive £55m for Walker last week, a world record for a defender.

“We are talking with three or four players to try to join us. Not only for next season, but for the next three to five years.”

The City boss also insisted Sergio Aguero will be staying at the club after speculation linking his star striker with a move away.

He said: “You know my opinion on Sergio. I said many times last season, he’s our player. He will remain here."

Chelsea were linked with Aguero but presumably that rumour will cool after Blues signed Alvaro Morata yesterday for a club record fee.

Finally, forgotten man Fabian Delph could be heading for the exit door at the Etihad.

The Daily Star reports Stoke City have tabled a £10m bid for the midfield man, who has struggled to establish himself since moving from Aston Villa for £8m in 2015.
