Aliens ‘to invade amid meteor shower’
And other stories from the stranger side of life

A time traveller from the future has claimed that the planet will be invaded by aliens next year, with their arrival disguised as a meteor shower. The TikTok user, @aesthetictimewarper, said the arrival of the extraterrestrials will mark the start of an alien war. Social media users were unconvinced, with one joking that it was “going to happen right when they turn on that 5G”. Another added that “nothing he’s said has come true”.
Bigfoot sightings ‘a step too far’
A historian has dismissed sightings of Bigfoot in a Staffordshire forest. The half-man, half ape creature has been the focus of speculation after investigator Lee Brickley found tracks and claw marks he believes belong to the beast. Local residents say the forest is haunted by a number of supernatural beings. But historian Richard Pursehouse said the Bigfoot theory is a “step too far”.

Bear wanders into 7-11 store
A bear has casually wandered into a 7-11 store in California. Rachelle Ducusin, an employee at the store in Olympic Valley, in the Lake Tahoe area, said the animal stood in the doorway and used its nose to trigger an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser. Emergency responders used rubber bullets to scare the bear away, but it returned a few hours later to dig through rubbish.
