The i paper also runs with the 'ambush' on Rudd, as she went head-to-head with six opposition leaders, mostly from the left.

The Daily Mail's front page was prompted by a tweet from the New Statesman's political editor George Eaton who remarked that the BBC election debate audience was the "most left-wing" ever. Eaton, surprised at his tweet becoming a splash, later tweeted that it was a "casual observation" and "not allegation of bias".
The Daily Express looks at Corbyn's alleged plot to introduce "uncontrolled immigration". The story, which headlined the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail yesterday, has been dismissed by Labour.
The Daily Telegraph leads with figures that a record number of people are now paying the 45p income tax rate due to wage inflation and reductions in pension tax relief.
The Daily Mirror leads with an NHS chief's warning that the Conservatives have left the coffers empty, thereby putting the health services at risk.
