Court rules that Subway bread is not bread

An Irish court has ruled that the bread served at Subway cannot be defined as bread because of its high sugar content. The ruling followed an appeal by the company’s Irish franchisee, which argued that the bread used in the sandwiches counted as a staple food and was therefore exempt from VAT. However, the court ruled that it should be classed as confectionary.
Neighbours call cops after sports fan shouts ‘Shoot!’
A Florida man reported to the police by his neighbours for shouting “Shoot! Shoot!” was just an excited hockey fan. Devon Garnett says he was animated as he cheered on his beloved Tampa Bay Lightning team. “I yelled out, really loud, ‘Shoot! Shoot!’” he told Inside Edition. When the neighbours realised what had happened they sent an apology note and a 12-pack of beer.

Woman arrested for using kids to steal Trump signs
A woman in upstate New York was arrested for allegedly using six children to steal Donald Trump campaign signs from people’s homes. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says Deana Algarin, 45, is charged with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny, marijuana possession, as well as two citations for seatbelt violations involving children less than 15 years old.
