Man dressed as tree arrested in Portland
Police have arrested a man who was blocking traffic in central Portland while dressed as a tree. He was removed from the road and cautioned when he refused to answer questions, and then arrested when he returned to his position in the centre of the road. A friend told police the man was "studying local traffic patterns".

Murder suspect live streams escape from police
An Oklahoma man suspected of killing two members of his family has used Facebook Live to document his escape. Michael Vance allegedly opened fire on two officers with an AK-47 assault rifle, before stealing a police car and driving away. He is accused of then car-jacking another vehicle, shooting and wounding a woman in the process, before stealing a third car and starting his broadcast.
Teen wakes from coma 'speaking Spanish'
A Georgia teen who was critically injured playing football has woken up from a coma speaking fluent Spanish, a language he had not previously known. Reuben Nsemoh, 16, said that every time he tried to speak English, he had a seizure, and that speaking in Spanish "seemed completely natural". He gradually recovered his ability to speak English, and can now speak both languages fluently.
