The operators of fast food chain Burger King in Russia have petitioned local authorities to ban the horror film It on the basis that the villain Pennywise is “an exact copy of Ronald McDonald” and constitutes free marketing for their competitors.

Rapper launches quest to prove earth is flat

A rapper known as B.o.B. has launched a crowdfunding campaign in an attempt to prove his theory that the earth is flat. The GoFundMe page, “Show BoB The Curve” is seeking £750,000 to “launch multiple satellites into space”. So far, £1,682 has been pledged.

Cannibal killers used dating sites to lure victims

A Russian couple have been arrested after police raided their home and found seven packages of body parts in a refrigerator. Natalia Baksheeva, 42, told officials she and her husband Dmitry Baksheev, 35, used dating websites to lure at least 30 victims to their deaths.
