Plane drops £260m in gold during take off

A Siberian cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing, after more than £260m worth of gold bars broke loose and spilled onto the runway during take off. Local media reports a total of 172 bars gold, totalling about 3.4 tons have been recovered from the airport and surrounding area.
Tinder app leads to samurai sword attack
A Washington man is recovering in hospital, after his girlfriend attacked him with a samurai sword because she suspected he was cheating on her. According to police, the woman attacked the victim after finding the Tinder app installed on his phone, and complained that he spent too much time playing video games.

Man loses court battle to overturn his own death
A Romanian man has failed in a legal bid to have the declaration of his death annulled. His wife had him declared legally dead in 2013, years after he moved to Turkey and stopped contacting his family. His request was denied because he had filed the paperwork past the deadline for authorities to grant it.
