Antechinus added to endangered list over marathon sex sessions

The Australian government has added two species of the mouse-like marsupial antechinus to the endangered species list. During mating season, the animals engage in marathon sex sessions, lasting up to 14 hours at a time and involving multiple partners. After several weeks of copulation, the males usually die within five days.

Japanese rail company ‘sorry’ train left 25 seconds early

The West Japan Railway Company has issued a formal apology after one of its trains left the station 25 seconds early. The train left the platform at Notogawa station in central Japan at 7.11.35am, instead of the scheduled 7.12am. Local reports say one passenger was inconvenienced after he missed the train.

Woman fired over laxative-laced brownies

A Michigan woman has been sacked after she baked a batch of laxative-laced brownies for a colleague’s farewell party. Following a tip off from another employee, police were called to confiscate the brownies before anyone could eat them. Workers say there had been “some tension” between the woman and her colleague in the past.
