Plans for ‘robot brothel’ scuttled in Houston

Officials in Houston, Texas have scuppered plans – albeit temporarily – for the city’s first “robot brothel”, citing paperwork irregularities. Regulators say the Canadian company behind the proposal, Kinky S Dolls, lacks the permits to build a 232 square metre brothel with robotic dolls for sale, or rent – and which can also speak.
Maine woman launches ‘moose poop art’ business
A Maine woman has raised eyebrows after launching a business selling works of art made out of moose faeces. Mary Winchenbach gathers the raw material for her business, called “Tirdy Works”, and sells each handcrafted piece – mostly “moose pellets” with googly eyes stuck on them – for around £3.80.

Couple smokes cannabis inside a tent on New York subway
A New York couple has been taken into custody, after boarding a subway carriage at the beginning of the Friday evening peak hour, erecting a small tent, climbing inside and smoking marijuana. The pair were arrested by transit officers less than 13 minutes later. No explanation for the behaviour has been reported.
