In brief: Reese Witherspoon andKiefer Sutherland at UK premiere
GActress Reese Witherspoon (right) and Kiefer Sutherland (left), aka Jack Bauer in the long-running US show 24, attended the UK premiere of the animated film Monsters Vs Aliens in London last night. Witherspoon provides the voice for a character who grows to 49ft 11in in height, while Sutherland is W R Munger, a US army general who finally finds a use for his collection of detained monsters when aliens begin storming Earth...........Mickey Rourke is to star in the sequel to the comic book film Iron Man, according to Variety. The actor, who received an Oscar nomination for his role in The Wrestler, will play a Russian villain called Whiplash.......... Michael Jackson's residency at London's O2 Arena will continue well into 2010 after the singer added more dates to his farewell tour today due to colossal demand. The 50-year-old singer will now play 45 nights at the venue, instead of the original 10, with seven shows planned for January and February............The British Library has acquired the archive of the Booker Prize-winning novelist Graham Swift. The collection covers manuscripts, notes, revisions and proofs relating to all eight of his novels - including the Booker-winning Last Orders.............
