Jimenez: no release clause in contract
Another Premier League star linked with Real Madrid recently is Wolves striker Raul Jimenez.
The Mexican has scored 22 times in all competitions this season and his form in front of goal has seen the likes of Real and Manchester United take notice.
Jimenez’s future at Wolves is even more under the spotlight today. According to the Daily Mail the 28-year-old has revealed he has no release clause in his contract, which expires in 2023.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, he said: “They [Wolves] bought me for €40m [£34.5m], they won’t sell me for less. There is no release clause, but the clubs [in England], it is different how they are managed.”
Werner move on hold
According to the Daily Mail Liverpool have put all contract talks and recruitment plans on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. This means the Anfield club’s move for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is off for now.
The Mail says: “Werner is hugely admired by Liverpool and he has spoken favourably on a number of occasions in recent months about their team - and manager Jurgen Klopp - but any ambitions he has of securing a move to England will have to be placed on hold.”
