Thibaut Courtois: Chelsea to Real Madrid
Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to make a “fresh push” for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgium international’s future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain after Chelsea failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Courtois, whose contract expires in summer 2019, has said he will be at Chelsea next season but has yet to sign a new £200,000-a-week deal that has reportedly been offered.

Spurs set for major squad shake-up
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to have “crunch talks” with chairman Daniel Levy and is seeking a £100m transfer war chest. Spurs could be set for a busy summer in the transfer market with the Daily Mirror reporting that the London side will “start listening” to offers for Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose as well as waving goodbye to Mousa Dembele, Fernando Llorente and Moussa Sissoko. ESPN says that the players on Tottenham’s wanted list include Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and Fulham teenage star Ryan Sessegnon.
Rooney future to be decided tomorrow
Everton manager Sam Allardyce believes Wayne Rooney’s future at the club will be decided tomorrow when the former England striker’s representatives meet with the Goodison board. Rooney has been linked with a move to Major League Soccer side DC United and Allardyce said: “There’s no update - it’s not in my hands now. I’ve dealt with Wayne, and it’s moved on with his representatives and the board from here on in, which I believe may be Wednesday.” (Sky Sports)
Fred: Shakhtar Donetsk to Manchester United/PSG
French giants Paris Saint-Germain have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred. It’s believed that the Brazilian has a £52.89m release clause in his Shakhtar contract. (Manchester Evening News)
Elseid Hysaj: Napoli to Manchester United
Another player in United’s sights this summer is Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj. The Albanian has a £44m release clause in his Napoli contract and United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to pay the fee. (The Sun)
Wilfried Zaha: Crystal Palace to Manchester City
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has told The Daily Telegraph that the club must “stop flirting with relegation” and it’s “key” that they keep hold of star forward Wilfried Zaha. However, Palace’s hopes of Zaha staying at Selhurst Park could be harmed with the Daily Star saying that champions Manchester City “remain interested” in the 25-year-old Ivory Coast international.
Alphonse Areola: PSG to Newcastle United
According to reports in France, Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has held talks with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola about a potential summer transfer. PSG are “open” to selling Areola for a fee between £13.2m and £17.6m. (Metro via France Football)
Manuel Lanzini: West Ham to Liverpool
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign a playmaker to fill the gap left by Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona in January. On Klopp’s list of targets is West Ham star Manuel Lanzini. The Argentine, 25, scored five goals and provided six assists for the Hammers this season. (Daily Mirror)
Carrick to help find replacement… for Carrick
Retiring Manchester United captain Michael Carrick will join Jose Mourinho’s coaching staff at Old Trafford and his first task will be to find the “next Michael Carrick”. Midfielders linked with United include Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Fred, Arturo Vidal, Jorginho, Jean Seri and Marco Verratti. (The Sun)
