Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) blasted President Obama's move to thaw relations between the U.S. and Cuba as "disgraceful," saying it was "based on an illusion."
Obama has "proven his foreign policy is more than just naive, it is willfully ignorant of the way the world truly works," Rubio said. And, Rubio added, the president is perpetuating an "illusion that access to more money and goods will translate to more political freedom for the Cuban people."
The White House on Wednesday announced it would begin talks to normalize diplomatic and trade relations with Cuba.
