George Lucas hasn't watched the new Star Wars trailer

The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has received more than 45 million YouTube views and parodies aplenty. But there's one man who has yet to see the clip: George Lucas, the original Star Wars creator.

"I don't know anything about it," Lucas told the New York Post. "I haven't seen it yet."

Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4 billion. Lucas had previously owned the entire Star Wars franchise. Lucas directed the last three Star Wars movies as well as the 1977 original, the Post notes.

Lucas added that he does plan to see the J.J. Abrams film, but he won't watch the trailer online beforehand. "I like going to the movies and watching the whole thing there," he told the Post. "I plan to see it when it's released."
