Pope Francis: Popemobile is a glass 'sardine can'

Pope Francis gave his reasoning behind not using the "sardine can" Popemobile, instead opting for an open-air version, in an interview with Barcelona newspaper La Vanguardia on Friday, reports CNN.

"It's true that anything could happen, but let's face it, at my age, I don't have much to lose," Pope Francis said.

The Catholic Church's leader has already split with many of the traditional trappings of the papacy, preferring a simple approach that puts him close to his followers:
