If other weight-loss methods have failed you, maybe what you need is a smarter fork. The new Hapifork ($100) fights obesity by encouraging users to eat more slowly. This battery-operated utensil, which is both rechargeable and Bluetooth-enabled, tracks each bite you take and will warn you, using vibrations and a flashing light, if the fork is touching your mouth more often than it should. You decide the minimum interval you must pause between each bite and set the interval using a smartphone app that also provides a coaching program to help you develop better eating habits.
