Watch the moody first teaser for True Detective season 2
It's been more than a year since HBO's True Detective bowed its first season, but the network has taken its time putting a sophomore year together. Today, viewers can finally get a glimpse of what True Detective season 2 has in store:
True Detective season 2 has no direct connection to the show's first season. In place of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, we have a trio of three detectives: Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, and Colin Ferrell, sporting an ill-advised mustache. They'll be squaring off against a Los Angeles criminal played by Vince Vaughn, taking the first big step in his "forget about The Internship, I'm a serious actor" phase.
True Detective season 2 premieres on June 21.
