Rick Santorum doesn't know why he endorsed Marco Rubio

When Rick Santorum dropped out of the presidential race on Wednesday, he offered up an endorsement of Sen. Marco Rubio — one he seemingly can't defend. Speaking with Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Thursday morning, Santorum was asked to name just one accomplishment of Rubio's, and apparently couldn't.

"My feeling on Marco is someone who has tremendous potential, tremendous gifts. If you look at being a minority in the U.S. Senate in a year when nothing got — in four years when nothing got done, I guess it's hard to say there's accomplishments," Santorum said in defense.
