Ted Cruz isn't interested in a Supreme Court seat

Don't expect to see Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on the Supreme Court — not to fill the late Justice Antonin Scalia's seat and not further down the line, either.
“I'll tell you that that is not a desire of my heart," he said Friday on WBAP 820 AM.
The former presidential hopeful said Wednesday that he plans to run for re-election to his Senate seat in 2018.

"I think our country is in crisis, and I think we need a strong conservative president who will appoint not just one, but two, three, four, five Supreme Court justices who are principled constitutionalists," he said. "I am committed to the fight of ensuring that we have strong, principled constitutionalists on the court. But I believe that I can do a great more good fighting across the political spectrum."
