Nancy Pelosi endorses Hillary Clinton

Just a day after reportedly securing enough delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton has now also landed the endorsement of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. During a Tuesday morning interview on Good Morning America on the day of Pelosi's state's primary, the California congresswoman revealed that she'd cast her ballot for Clinton. "Today, as Californians head to the polls, I am proud to cast my vote for Hillary Clinton and to endorse her candidacy for president of the United States," Pelosi said, specifically noting Clinton's "commitment to children, to working families, and to a brighter future for America."
Pelosi gave a nod to Sen. Bernie Sanders for the "great invigoration" he brought to the presidential race and the work he and his supporters have done to "advance our shared fight for progress." Pelosi, who is a superdelegate, did not make an endorsement in the 2008 Democratic primary. Polls currently show Sanders and Clinton in a dead heat in California.
