Paul Ryan says Donald Trump has to 'clean up' his social media

House Speaker Paul Ryan scolded Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has "got to clean up the way his new media works."
Trump has come under fire for tweeting a graphic accusing Hillary Clinton of being the "most corrupt candidate ever," complete with an image of Clinton, $100 bills, and a six-pointed star that looks like a Star of David, deemed by many as anti-Semitic (Trump and his social media director have since said it was a badge shape). In an interview with Milwaukee's WTMJ, Ryan said, "Look, anti-Semitic images, they've got no place in a presidential campaign. Candidates should know that. The tweet's been deleted and I don't know how long he put this up there. Obviously they've got to fix that."
Trump is no stranger to using Twitter as an insult generator, and Ryan said if he "had to stop everything and comment to a ridiculous tweet send out by [Trump's] campaign, I'd have no time for anything else." He reminded people that "one of the few times I spoke out against [Trump] during the primary, very forcefully, was in this area when he failed to disavow a supremacist, white supremacist," and said it's time for the Trump campaign to take complaints against its social media posts seriously. "My understanding is, this was done by staff not by he himself," he said. "But more importantly, they've got to clean this thing up."
