Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani defended his friend of 30 years, Donald Trump, during the Republican National Convention on Monday night, calling him a "very good and decent man" who makes anonymous donations all the time.

Giuliani began by shouting that it's time to make "America one again," and Trump is the person to make that happen. "He has created and accomplished great things in my city and all over the world," he said. "Beyond that, this is a man with a big heart. Every time New York suffered a tragedy, Donald Trump was there to help. He did it anonymously when police officers were shot, when firefighters were hurt, when people were in trouble, he came forward and asked not to be mentioned. Well, I'm going to break my promise to him. I'm going to mention it. He loves all people."
