A white supremacist's tweet appeared on the big screens during Trump's acceptance speech

While Donald Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination Thursday night, a tweet from a white supremacist flashed on four massive screens surrounding the stage. The particular tweet curated by the Republican National Convention seemed innocuous, simply citing a line from Trump's speech and expressing support for the candidate:
But as Time reports, the rest of Western Triumph's Twitter account tells a different story. The user's bio lists off numerous white supremacist hashtags, including "#AltRight," "#ProWhite," "#RaceRealist," and "#LoveYourRace." The theme continues in a number of the user's other tweets, which include a call for the "Great Purge," a description of the word racist as "#antiwhite," and the claim that "whites build things, and blacks destroy them."
This wouldn't be the first time Trump has brushed shoulders with white nationalists on Twitter, Talking Points Memo reported. Trump has been hugely praised by former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke and he has retweeted posts from accounts such as @WhiteGenocideTM.
