After a shocking win over Hillary Clinton in the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, Donald Trump sent his first tweet as president-elect on Wednesday morning:

The message echoed his victory speech, in which he pledged to give every American the "opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential — the forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer." His message of forward-looking unity comes at the end of a particularly divisive campaign season. In the last days before the election, Trump's team reportedly revoked his Twitter access in an attempt to keep the notoriously impulsive tweeter on-message.
