Report: Donald Trump wants top-secret security clearances for his kids

Donald Trump is seeking top secret security clearances for his children Ivanka, Eric, and Donald Jr., CBS News reports.
In order to gain those clearances now, the Trump children must be designated by the current administration as national security advisers to their father; when he is in the White House, Trump could put the request in on his own. The Trumps would have to go through background checks and fill out security questionnaire SF-86. Nepotism rules keep Trump from hiring his children from working in the White House outright.
Last week, Trump named his kids and Ivanka's husband, Jared Kushner, to his transition team, and while all have said they are happy to have helped Trump on the campaign trail, they do not want any formal government roles. The Trump kids will run Trump's businesses while he is otherwise occupied in the White House.
