As winter fast approaches, it's time to acquire a big fuzzy blanket and settle in for your next big Netflix binge — and this time, no internet connection is required. The streaming service announced Wednesday that it's now allowing users to download movies and television shows to watch later, when they're offline. In other words, you're now going to be able to catch up on Stranger Things or Orange Is The New Black whether you're on a plane, a train, or in the middle of nowhere.
The latest feature comes at no extra cost, and it can be enabled for users who have the app on their phones or tablets. Content can't yet be downloaded onto laptops.
Right now, only select programs are available for offline watching, but Netflix said there will be "more on the way." Plan accordingly.
