NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager died Thursday at the age of 65 after a years-long battle with leukemia, ESPN reports. A longtime employee for TNT and TBS, Sager was described by Turner president David Levy as a "true inspiration to us all."
"There will never be another Craig Sager. His incredible talent, tireless work ethic, and commitment to his craft took him all over the world covering sports," Levy said.
Sager was an easy-to-spot presence on TV due to his unique, colorful suits, and he had a career that spanned more than 40 years. He publicly announced his leukemia diagnosis in 2014 and at the 2016 ESPY awards, he emotionally expressed that "over the last two years, I've done everything in my power to live my life as normally as possible but at times, you need support. And I'm so thankful to everyone who has been there for me." Jeva Lange
