One week after issuing subpoenas to former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and his businesses, the House Intelligence Committee has received some documents, the top Democrat on the committee told CNN Thursday.
"We're going through the documents we've received from various witnesses, including Gen. Flynn, to determine if they meet the requirements of the documents we've asked for," Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said, adding the committee is "still in the process of review and discussions with Mr. Flynn's counsel."
Flynn is part of the probe into whether there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 presidential election. When Senate investigators requested documents from Flynn, he invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, but his lawyers reached a deal with the panel and ended up providing 600 pages of documents, CNN reports.
