Senators anticipate seeing the text of the ObamaCare repeal legislation later this week, and voting on it the next, Politico reports. "I believed the majority leader when he said he's going to take it up," said Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.). "I expect us to vote on it next week."
Democrats have protested the rushed legislation as well as the secrecy surrounding the bill, which the GOP is drafting behind closed doors. "Republicans are writing their health-care bill under the cover of darkness because they are ashamed of it," said Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
Republicans can only lose two of their senators to pass the legislation. "It's close," said Burr. "Everybody's been counting [votes] since the beginning."
