Elon Musk says he's 'dying' to build a Tesla pickup truck

Make room in the garage — Tesla's Elon Musk said he wants to add an electric pickup truck to his company's lineup.
Musk tweeted that after Tesla gets the Model Y out, they'll move on to a pickup. "Have had the core design/engineering elements in my mind for almost five years," he said. "Am dying to build it." Musk also revealed that the truck would be similar in size to the Ford F-150, but "maybe slightly bigger to account for a really gamechanging (I think) feature I'd like to add."
The Model Y is a planned crossover SUV that uses the architecture of the Model 3 sedan, and isn't the only product Musk promises will be on the road soon — in November, it was announced Tesla's Semi truck and Roadster are expected to be released in the United States in 2019 and 2020.
