Thirty years after she first stood up to Miss Trunchbull, Matilda has a new opponent: President Trump.
The Roald Dahl character has taken on a new life as a statue in the author's hometown, BBC reveals. And for some reason, she'll spend eternity launching a defiant stare at Trump.
Matilda first entered the world 30 years ago, using her telekinetic powers to upset her school's unsavory headmistress. To celebrate the book's anniversary, over 2,000 Brits were asked who they think Matilda would challenge in this decade, CNN says. They decided the British schoolgirl would tackle the American president, so now there's a sneering Trump dangling his extra-long tie over her face.

Voters could've opted for U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May or TV host Piers Morgan — the second and third most popular choices, respectively — but shunned British choices for someone more global, per CNN. Matilda would also be friends with Emma Watson and Meghan Markle, and most likely be a teacher or a United Nations ambassador, voters decided.
Matilda is a fictional character, so she could not dispute these survey results.
