A live-action version of Lilo & Stitch is reportedly in the works

Lilo & Stitch is taking a victory lap.
Disney producers are working on a live-action version of the 2002 animated movie, The Hollywood Reporter learned Wednesday. It could be released in theaters or on Disney's forthcoming streaming service that is scheduled to launch next year.
The remake will combine live-action and CGI animation to recreate the story, which follows a young girl in Hawaii who meets an alien named Stitch. Stitch brings drama along when he lands on Earth, in close pursuit by his alien overlords who want to recapture him.

The new Lilo & Stitch will reportedly be produced by two Disney veterans, Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, who are already working on a live-action remake of Aladdin. Disney is betting big on remakes of their classic films — in addition to Aladdin, live-action versions of Mulan, Dumbo, and 101 Dalmatians are all in the works. Read more at The Hollywood Reporter.
