Brett Kavanaugh reportedly posed for pictures at his Georgetown Prep reunion — but only if everyone put down their beers
Not everyone had the best things to say about Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's time at Georgetown Prep. But that didn't stop him from being "hailed as a conquering hero" at Saturday's alumni reunion, The New York Times reports.
On Friday, Kavanaugh was reportedly the main attraction at the Maryland high school's men-only "stag night." Fellow members of the class of 1983, among other graduates, snapped pictures with the justice throughout the night, reports The Washington Post. People at the event told the Times it looked like he wore the same suit from his Supreme Court confirmation hearing — the one where he denied Christine Blasey Ford's allegation of sexual assault when they were both in high school.
The next day, Kavanaugh showed up at a Georgetown Prep football game with two security guards. He told attendees he was "hanging in there," and could often be heard laughing above the crowd. Kids and former classmates asked for pictures, but Kavanaugh made everyone put down their beers before posing, one person told the Times. Kavanaugh apparently wasn't drinking.

A Saturday night bowling and drinking event that followed seemingly wasn't on Kavanaugh's calendar. Patrick Smyth — the "P.J." who Ford said was at the party where Kavanaugh assaulted her — did make it to the event. There, the school's recently-appointed president gave Kavanaugh's 1983 class a special shout-out, joking that he'd recently "heard so many of your names," a recording obtained by the Times showed. Read more about Kavanaugh's homecoming at The New York Times.
