The race is still far from over, but Fox News host Tucker Carlson appears to be very worried that Andrew Gillum could be elected governor of Florida.
While the Fox News panel was discussing early results Tuesday, Carlson said that Gillum winning in Florida would have "deeper implications for both parties." His theory? Immigration and the economy would have likely played a role in a potential Gillum victory, and Carlson theorized that this would mean that "some of this populist economic stuff" would be "more popular than we think it is."
This idea, Carlson added, is quite "ominous," especially because he seems to think Gillum is completely unqualified. Co-host Martha MacCallum helpfully added that "charismatic, appealing candidates appear to be doing well" this year. The race between Gillum and Republican Ron DeSantis is currently too close to call.
