A government agency is here to offer a friendly reminder about climate change — one that President Trump himself may find useful.
As a polar vortex brings "life-threatening" cold weather to parts of the United States, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration tweeted Tuesday morning that storms like these do not, in fact, disprove climate change.
The tweet links to a page on Climate.gov which goes into further detail and notes that "record snowstorms aren't incompatible with a warmer climate."

This tweet just so happened to come the morning after President Trump himself suggested on Twitter that extremely cold weather somehow calls the scientific consensus around climate change into question, writing, "What the hell is going on with Global [warming]? Please come back fast, we need you!"
Trump, who once suggested climate change is a hoax created by China, has repeatedly made similar statements when it has been cold out, something he may be less inclined to do were he just to pay more attention to information from his own government's agencies.
