Trump Organization fires at least 18 undocumented immigrants working at golf courses
Over the last two months, the Trump Organization fired at least 18 undocumented immigrants working at five of its golf clubs in New York and New Jersey, Eric Trump told The Washington Post on Monday.
Eric Trump and his brother, Donald Trump Jr., are leading the Trump Organization while their father is in the White House. In December, The New York Times reported that several undocumented immigrants were working at a New Jersey club, which triggered an internal audit, the Post says. Several people who were fired last month told the Post they used false Social Security and green cards to gain employment, and their supervisors were aware that these were fake documents.
Juan Quintero, 42, came to the United States from Mexico as a teenager. He spent 18 years working at Trump Hudson Valley in New York, and has four children. He told the Post that last month, an executive from the Trump Organization came up to him and said he couldn't work there anymore. "Half of my life, and now nothing," he said.

Last week, the Trump Organization said it will begin using E-Verify to check the documents provided by employees against government records. President Trump has railed against illegal immigration, demanding money for a wall along the southern border and suggesting he'll declare a national emergency in order to get the funding.
