'He hasn't left the White House in 5 weeks,' Eric Trump says of his father, who left the White House days ago

The best time to claim someone hasn't left a location in weeks is, as it turns out, not immediately after they post a picture of themselves in a totally different location.
Eric Trump should have kept that in mind before he went on Fox News on Tuesday to declare that his father, President Trump, is working so hard right now that he "hasn't left the White House in five weeks." This is despite the fact that Trump just left the White House days ago. The New York Times reports the president went to Mar-a-Lago this past weekend, and Trump himself even posted a photo of himself golfing with Tiger Woods at the Trump National Golf Club in Florida on Feb. 2.
The president previously made a similar but even more absurd claim in January: "I haven't actually left the White House in months," he told Fox News. He had left the White House several times, including to visit the southern border in the days before that interview. At the time, some speculated he was only talking about not leaving to go to Mar-a-Lago, but that certainly doesn't explain Eric Trump's bizarre claim. Watch the moment below. Brendan Morrow
