Glenn Close wore a 42-pound dress to the Oscars
On Sunday night at the Oscars, Best Actress favorite Glenn Close looked like a million bucks — while wearing practically a million pounds. In her red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest, The Wife actress announced that her custom gold House of Herrera dress weighs 42 pounds thanks to its massive, shimmering train:

In an interview with The Cut ahead of the ceremony, Close had admitted that the weight of the dress intimidated her. When asked if she'd been lifting weights to prepare, she quipped: "No, and it's probably going to kill me." Hey — worth it.
