The Avengers are ready for their rematch.
Marvel on Tuesday dropped an incredible new trailer for Avengers: Endgame, in which the Avengers prepare to battle Thanos once again, and the Mad Titan himself is revealed. The initial Endgame teaser showed a brief glimpse of Thanos on the planet where he retired to at the end of Infinity War, but here, he returns in full, saying in a chilling line seemingly directed at Tony Stark, "You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."
There's plenty more to chew on in this footage, which also includes a scene of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers reuniting after their falling out three years ago in Captain America: Civil War. In a moment that sure looks like it's taking place at the Battle of New York from the original The Avengers, Steve decides to place his trust in Tony, and they shake hands.

The trailer in general is pretty heavy on Tony, who was seen stranded in space in the Endgame teaser. Here, he reunites with Pepper Potts at one point and is seen in a group shot with the rest of the team at the Avengers' headquarters. And because Marvel is apparently intent on ripping all of our hearts out numerous times during this movie, Tony also looks wistfully at a photo of himself and Peter Parker, one of many victims of Thanos' snap.
Marvel dropped this trailer for Avengers: Endgame at the very moment that tickets for the film went on sale. Those booking their seats for the first showings should be prepared for a late night, as the film is listed as being an eye-popping 3 hours and 2 minutes. Brendan Morrow
