Hawkeye's chances of surviving Avengers: Endgame just went way up

It looks like we can rule out at least one potential death in Avengers: Endgame.
Disney is working on yet another Avengers spin-off series for its upcoming streaming service, Disney+, this one about Hawkeye. The show will reportedly involve Jeremy Renner's character passing the torch to Kate Bishop, who in the comics takes the name Hawkeye and becomes a member of the Young Avengers team.
This is the latest in a series of reported Marvel shows headed to Disney+. Other shows will focus on Loki, the Winter Soldier and Falcon, and Scarlet Witch and Vision, while rumored projects include an animated What If? series and a spin-off about Jaimie Alexander's Thor character, Lady Sif. Unlike previous Marvel shows like Daredevil, these will be highly connected to the feature films, with major stars like Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston reprising their roles. They'll be between six and eight episodes long.

The trailer for Avengers: Endgame features a glimpse at a character fans have speculated is Bishop, so it's possible Endgame will lead directly into the Hawkeye show. That would confirm Hawkeye will make it through Endgame alive, especially since a show in which he hands off his role to Bishop likely couldn't take place in the past. By contrast, Black Widow's death in Endgame can't be ruled out, as her spin-off movie is thought to be a prequel.
Whether he survives Endgame or not, Renner's Clint Barton won't carry the Hawkeye mantle much longer. Perhaps he'll finally get to retire with his family, as he's been trying to do for years, this time without all this Thanos business getting in the way. For now, however, Renner returns as Hawkeye in Endgame, which hit theaters April 26.
