A Swedish prosecutor charged American rapper A$AP Rocky with assault Thursday, more than three weeks after Rocky was arrested following a June 30 street brawl in Stockholm and despite an unusual personal intervention by President Trump. Prosecutor Daniel Suneson said he filed the charges against Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, and two other men arrested with him "having come to the conclusion that the events in question constitute a crime and despite claims of self-defense and provocation." Rocky and the other two men will remain in custody until trial; no court dates have been set.
