A star of Killing Eve won the lead drama actress Emmy Sunday — just not the one most expected.
Jodie Comer won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, an award that was widely expected to instead go to her co-star on the BBC series, Sandra Oh.
In fact, Comer expected that too, explaining in her acceptance speech that her parents weren't there for the show because she "didn't think this was going to be my time."

Oh, who has earned eight acting Emmy nominations for Killing Eve, Grey's Anatomy, and Saturday Night Live, has still never won. After earning widespread acclaim for her role as assassin Villanelle, this is Comer's first Emmy win and nomination.
