Cuba Gooding Jr. faces new charge over 'additional incident' in groping trial

Cuba Gooding Jr.'s groping trial has been delayed, and he's now facing another charge related to a second incident.
The Oscar-winning Jerry Maguire actor was previously charged with third-degree misdemeanor sexual abuse and forcible touching for allegedly groping a woman at a New York bar, and his trial was set to begin Thursday. But jury selection has been delayed as prosecutors say a new charge has been filed, The New York Times reports.
This indictment, prosecutors say, is related to an "additional incident previously uncharged," The Daily Beast reports. After Gooding was arrested in June, the NYPD confirmed another woman who claims the actor groped her at a Manhattan club in 2008 came forward to file a police report, though as the new charge will remain sealed until next week, it's unclear whether that's the incident prosecutors are referring to. He will be arraigned next week, The Associated Press reports.

Gooding was charged in June after a woman alleged he grabbed her breast at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar in New York. The actor has denied the allegation, with his lawyer saying in June "he did absolutely nothing wrong" and "I am completely confident that he will be totally exonerated." If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail.
