Cardi B might run for Congress

She's running? In a few years, quite possibly.
Cardi B in a series of tweets has declared she's interested in becoming a politician. The rapper in a tweet apparently sent after watching war documentaries lamented the fact that "this country lacks patriotism" while teasing that she'll soon release a video explaining more about her political ambitions.
It didn't take long for a follow-up, though, with Cardi B in another tweet hours later making her goal more specific by saying she thinks she could run for Congress "if I go back to school and focus up."

While she didn't go into detail about her "sooo much ideas that make sense," tax policy may very well be a centerpiece of her potential campaign. Cardi B previously complained in a video about paying 40 percent in taxes, saying, "Uncle Sam, I want to know what you're doing with my f---ing tax money." The rapper is backing Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for president in 2020.
If Cardi B does end up running for Congress, could a White House bid be far away? With Kanye West continuously teasing a presidential run, the eventual rap battle for the White House may be inevitable.
