Biden projected to win Vermont, his 1st state victory of the 2020 election


Democratic nominee Joe Biden has won Vermont's three electoral votes, CBS News and The Associated Press project. Vermont was the first state called for Biden of the night.
Biden's win in Vermont was called right after polls closed in the typically blue state, even with only a small amount of precincts reporting. Vermont's Republican Gov. Phil Scott (R) became the first Republican governor to openly cast his vote for Biden on Tuesday.
