America's coronavirus future is looking bleaker by the day.

Every U.S. state, save for Hawaii, is now seeing an "uncontrolled spread" of COVID-19, an analysis of case counts from CovidExitStrategy.org reveals. They're all seeing hundreds of new cases per million residents each day, painting a brutal picture of the nation's chances of slowing the disease before a vaccine rollout.

The coronavirus was first spreading uncontrolled across the East and West Coasts in the beginning of 2020. Case counts fell there over the summer as they rose in the South and Midwest. But now, COVID-19 is spreading dramatically in California, New York, and along the coasts as the less populous Midwestern states see cases fall again. Most states are seeing positivity rates of over 10 percent, and aren't testing anywhere close to enough to help stop the virus from spreading further.
